Members in good standing are invited to serve on the Trails, Recreation and Ad Hoc Community History Committees.
The Trails Committee is seeking applicants who are interested in developing the Trails Master Plan for Hot Springs Village to include multipurpose, walking, biking (road and mountain), and water trails. Committee members are responsible for monthly review of their assigned trails and to provide light maintenance as necessary, monitor trailhead boxes for feedback and assist the Friends of the Hot Springs Village Trails.
The Recreation Committee is seeking applicants who are interested in the amenities and programs in Hot Springs Village. Committee members are assigned to act as liaisons for the various amenities and programs within the Recreation Department, beaches, pavilions, parks, cultural activities, marinas, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and programs, and lifestyle programming. Members annually review fee recommendations and capital projects, coordinate Newcomers’ Coffee programs, and assist with project planning for maintenance, renovation and construction of Recreation Department projects.
The Ad Hoc Community History Committee is seeking applicants with backgrounds in researching, interviewing, organizing and compiling information from multiple sources. This committee will compile a chronology of the development, growth, successes and notable accomplishments of Hot Springs Village from 2007 through the present.
