The Waypoint at DeSoto Marina, 120 Marina Road, is preparing for the fall/winter season with new hours of operation and an upcoming new menu.

As of Monday, August 28, Waypoint is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for specialty coffees, smoothies, soda, beer, and snacks, with lunch served at the grill each day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Waypoint also offers bait and rentals of boats, kayaks, and slips at the marina. Watercraft may be rented until 2 p.m. so that rented items may be used and returned by 4 p.m.

Waypoint is transitioning to provide food service under the direction of Magdy Hussein, POA food and beverage director. Chef Brian Yeary, executive chef of Granada Grill, is crafting a new seasonal menu to offer at Waypoint in October.

As temperatures cool off this fall, the deck at Waypoint remains a pleasant place to drink coffee or have lunch. Kayaks, paddleboards, and other rentals at the marina will be popular as well. To contact Waypoint, call (501) 922-5511 or email waypoint@hsvpoa.org.
